Challenges that are influenced by our confidence in making decisions. Then, it continues by elaborating the main causes of low confidence. Finally, it provides the solution. Life CoachI am impressed with the choice of title - eye catching while giving clarity on what to expect. I feel, the book is indeed little in size and BIG in impact, which anyone using this book can definitely benefit from. I liked the way, the book brings out the fundamentals, explaining the case studies, bringing out the practical tools people could use to build confidence and concluding with the resolutions for the identified case studies. What I particularly liked were the case studies themselves, they were each, what I could to relate to, as a person and it gave clear tips to me, how I could deal with the situation and gain confidence. Another important aspect of the whole book has been the language, simple, clear and relatable to any average English speaker. PhD Counsellor, Research ConsultantThis book shows a clear understanding of confidence or the lack of it. It has beautifully brought out how to build a strong self by surmounting the low self-image and pressures of peers and environment. The step-by-step practical approach to overcome the challenges one might face was very clearly written. To me, I believe it is a one-stop shop for all newbies and for those who already have some work experience and are not able to make that difference in their jobs.

Human Resources ProfessionalWhat a masterpiece! Beautifully written in a simplified manner and believe me I felt that I was in the place of Radha juggling to cope with the triangle of trouble! Loved the way you gave your own example of being a bank employee team lead with team members totally opposite in nature. You have come a long way and proven the best each time with your thoughtful approach to connecting with the reader's mind. I must say it's a book that will easily get connected to the reader and he/she will correlate each scenario with their own life. Nice write-up and thought-provoking words to boost the sleeping soul to wake up, enabling it to regain the lost confidence to confront the triangle of trouble.
Smita Sadanandan
Manager AdministrationThe nice thing about the book is that it is practice-oriented and not like other typical theory-oriented self-help books. It makes the reader aware to acknowledge the fact about the friction most people will face with respect to change, when they get stuck in a comfort zone and provide practical tips to overcome that friction. My biggest takeaway from the book was that in order to gain confidence, the important thing is to first acknowledge your fear, do a worst-case scenario analysis and then work backwards from there to make things happen.

Group Head - Human Resource OfficerAmazing compilation of a lot of questions that we frequently come across in corporate leadership, and other aspects around the same. What I loved about the book is the depth of the thought behind each question, and its suggested workaround - these are what we see around us, yet, we do not put much thought into it. Another aspect that I loved about the book is how you, through seeking feedback for this book, practiced one of the open challenges mentioned in the book. 😃 I loved the narration - you were always being a friend, rather than just another second person. I'm sure A Shot in the Arm will cure leaders/ professionals of the harmful virus of fear to lead and excel, in the best possible way.

Staffing Lead – KeralaWhen you handle the functional or operational aspects of a team, there will be many situations you will face. How to communicate properly, what are the grey areas women have, how to excel with our soft skills along with the hard skills, and how to find solutions logically and creatively. To find out and combat the unknown factors which are blocking you. My friend, Chimmu Kutty, has the answers to these questions in this book called "A Shot in the Arm". Building confidence, knowing yours and others mindsets, handling difficult conversations and conflicts, managing seniors and juniors, and discussions on workplace issues. These are the key take-aways from this book. This book is helpful for executives wanting development or lateral movement in the career ladder.
